The Seachem ParaGuard has been formulated to treat fin rot, flukes, ich and velvet. So, how much of this solution should you be adding to your fish tank?
You can find out in this dosage calculation guide at Aquarium Blueprints.
Calculating the water volume of your fish tank
To determine how much ParaGuard you should be dosing, you first need to know the water volume of your tank. If you forgot your tank size, then you can measure the length, width and height of the aquarium. 231 cubic inches converts to around 1 gallon of water.
You might want to into account any open-air portion of your tank if the water does not fill all the way to the top.
Furthermore, you may want to consider the substrate, rocks, décor and fish tank equipment in your tank as these will take up space. To measure the non-water objects, we recommend weighing them. 8.3 pounds of weight converts to around 1 gallon of water.
