How to calculate the aquarium water volume
Before you start using General Cure, we recommend that you calculate the tank water volume. To do so, measure length and width of the tank in inches. You should also measure the height from the bottom of the tank to the top of the water line.
Multiply the length, width and height to get cubic inches. You then need to divide that number by 231 to get the number of gallons in your fish tank.
If you want to use liters to measure the tank water volume instead, then 1 gallon is the equivalent to around 4 liters.
You may also want to take into account the non-water objects in your fish tank, which includes the substrate, rocks and any decorations. To calculate these, you can try weighing the objects in pounds. 1 gallon of water is around 8 pounds. Therefore, you may want to subtract this calculation from your tank water volume.
