API Aquarium Salt should only be dose once when treating with API General Cure.
5. Furthermore, you might also want to consider also adding API Melafix as doing so will help ward off any secondary bacterial infection.
For Melafix, you need to dose this natural remedy at a rate of 5 mL for every 10 gallons (or 38 liters).
We recommend using Melafix daily over the course of the General Cure treatment.

12. During the water change process, you may want to consider adding activated carbon to your filter as doing so will help remove General Cure and Melafix from your tank water.
13. To speed up the removal process of General Cure and Melafix, in addition to removing API Aquarium Salt, we recommend that you do daily water changes to slowly dilute the water.
